The characters are all generated with life histories and personalities and they show real character progression as you shape them from nobodies into legends. Set in the storybook-styled fantasy world of The Yondering Lands, Wildermyth allows you to create your own stories as you guide your procedurally generated characters through procedurally generated challenges set in procedurally generated maps. They must defend the Yondering Lands from intruders, either through turn-based combat or strategic decisions on the overland map. The problem is that they’re all charisma and not enough skills.
